FEEVA
Federation of European Equine Veterinary Associations (FEEVA)
FEEVA was created in Strasbourg in 1998 when equine veterinary practitioners from several European countries met with European Parliament members to discuss the issue of medicines regulations concerning horses. Equine vets felt that restrictions regarding authorized medicines to treat horses was a threat to horse health and welfare. Numerous national equine veterinary associations first formed and more later joined FEEVA to work on all matters across Europe relating to equine health and welfare as well as relevant public health issues.
